It's much more than a wise investment or a nice place to live. It's all that, yes, but consider the sophisticated, decidedly distinctive exterior, with cream-colored brick, off-white stucco, clear cedar siding and custom steel railings. Highlands Vista oozes warm, sensual modernism, with custom details everywhere. Nothing haphazard about this, which is as it should be. Designer Mark Yanowitz can't keep a secret: "I have a hard time skimping." The one-of-a-kind, modern L-shaped building wraps around and graciously shares the site with the original residence on the property, a 1886 Victorian jewel.

The entire property is happily married to its locale of hilly topography and tree-lined streets. Indeed, Highlands Vista has some very nice vistas, including a prime vantage point for enjoying downtown Denver city views to the southeast and Hirshorn Park to the northwest. Generous-sized outdoor spaces are allocated with porches, patios, decks, and landscaping, all paying compliment to the great-looking, great-living structure that is Highlands Vista. Large window and door openings have been designed to bring the outside in and the inside out. Each unit is absolutely its own, yet six "individuals" look fabulous together.

The residences range from 1,480 to 2,047 square feet and are priced from $469,000 to $669,000.
